Manually Calculating Lye

I just uploaded a new PDF tool on the Southern Soapers website. It is a step by step guide on how to manually calculate the lye needed to make soap, for any given recipe you make. This is great to know, as you never know when the internet might go on the fritz. Besides, it is easy and makes understanding ‘lye discount’ so much easier! I am VERY grateful for this tool. This is how I used to do it and I am very happy to have this again because I feel it is important for me to make sure that I can do by hand when and if I am not able to gain access to one of the many online calculators.
